During my Chicago trip, I came across an incredible organization known as ARAHA. I remember pacing back and forth in between dozens of booths trying to find another East African charity when I discovered them. What distinguished the 'American Relief Agency for the Horn of Africa' from other businesses wasn't their decorative station, but rather their humble volunteers. I met two young boys who told me about the lives of thousands of unprotected children in the horn. Though I'm familiar with the unbearable living conditions of orphans in East Africa, I was shocked to learn that 1:4 children are homeless thus uneducated and deprived of many other things in life.
.. and that's NOT acceptable!
The livelihood of these children are just as valuable as ours and I know we can make a difference by supporting causes like ARAHA. Visit them at www.araha.org to learn what you can do to bring change!
