Hope for 500

On March 28th, our Columbus team gathered the community to raise awareness on the water crisis! Donations have made it possible for us to provide over 500 people in Somalia with PackH2o water packs this June!

Famine
Famine

Refugees are overwhelmed by a cloud of dust in Dadaab, near Kenya's border with Somalia. Many have fled both civil war and famine in Somalia, arriving at refugee camps in Kenya. A large part of East Africa, including Kenya and Ethiopia, are facing the worst famine in 20 years.

Each day at least 1,000 more refugees arrive.

Chaos and ongoing conflict in Somalia have inflamed the situation by discouraging aid agencies from providing help there.

Collecting Water
Collecting Water

Did you know women and children spend over 200 million hours collecting water every day? In Somalia, children sacrifce precious hours collecting water than they do in school. This needs to be changed. Donate!

The ones with a Jerrycan
The ones with a Jerrycan

A Jerrycan is a container for fuel or water. In many developing countries, people use it to haul and store their drinking water. The standard five-gallon Jerry can weighs about 40 pounds when full. As you can imagine, the cans are a burden for those who carry them. For many, the jerrycan symbolizes life: It carries the water they use for almost every daily task. Similarly, these yellow sturdy cartons symbolize hope. Hope is not an inanimate object that can be carried like the jerrycan, but it is a feeling that we carry in our hearts. Help us make a difference. Help us save lives. Help us carry hope.
